StayBook ("the app") is a personal hotel stay journal developed by Morgan Cress. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use StayBook.
The short version: StayBook does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
StayBook does not collect any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server. All information you enter, hotel names, cities, ratings, notes, tags, and photos, is stored locally on your device using standard Android app storage. Nothing is sent to Morgan Cress, to StayBook, or to any third party.
If you add photos to a stay, StayBook accesses your device's camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo. Photos are stored locally on your device alongside your stay records and are never uploaded anywhere.
StayBook Pro's backup feature creates a ZIP file containing your stay data and photos. This file is saved to your device's storage or shared via your device's own share function (for example, to your email or cloud storage of your choosing). StayBook itself does not upload this file anywhere or have access to it once created.
If you choose to share a stay (as plain text or as a .staybook file), StayBook uses your device's native share function. You control who receives it. StayBook does not have access to or record what you share or with whom.
StayBook Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing (and, on iOS, Apple's In-App Purchase system). Payment information is handled entirely by Google or Apple, StayBook does not receive, process, or store any payment or financial information.
StayBook does not use analytics services, tracking tools, or advertising of any kind. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
Since all data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
StayBook is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, since it does not collect information at all.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new "Last updated" date.
